At La Récup', we can give things that we no longer need and are in good condition. We can also find things we need, and therefore this process contributes to the reduction of waste. Reducing our waste means building a healthier environment around us.

Yes, but that's not all. At La Récup', we'd like to do more. To be part of creating a personal and sustainable consumption model that works for all of us. We want to give, instead of throwing away. To re-use, instead of buying new. If we have to buy, we buy second-hand. We sort through our belongings to give to others things that they might find useful, to discover that we have something that we were going to buy, and above all, to avoid having to throw it away at the last minute because we are in a hurry to get rid of it. Anticipate our needs, if possible: anticipate that we might need such a thing, to avoid rushing to buy it new at the last moment.

Of course, there are a lot of things that we can only buy new. That's why, when we can, we prioritise used stuff: furniture, clothes, baby stuff, building materials and so on.

At La Récup', we also encourage responsible consumption when it comes to buying new products, such as food or bathroom products. Indeed, we can all make a direct contribution to the well-being of the environment by buying local products with the minimum possible packaging (especially if plastic), and without harmful products inside.

Each of us is responsible for what we consume. That's why we make sure of the origin, the composition, the way what we buy is made: from a bag of potatoes to a face cream.

As consumers, our power is immense. Through our actions, we can and will influence the economic model and have a positive impact on the environment.

The evidence shows that change has to start at the bottom, with each of us: we can all become real climate heroes!

If you have any doubts or questions about your consumption, please write to us for advice.

The more consumers join the movement of which La Récup' is part, the stronger we will be against climate change.

Bon(s) don(s) à tous!
