1. Introduction
When you visit the La Récup' website and access information, you remain anonymous. If you wish to respond to an ad or create an ad yourself, you must become a member of La Récup' by registering on the site.
We keep the information required for registration to a minimum: only your name and email address. If you wish, you can also add a profile photo. This is the only personal information we hold about you. This information is kept securely in an encrypted database.
2. Use of cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on the devices of visitors to a website. La Récup' uses cookies in order to:
- allow you to access members-only pages without having to re-enter your password on every new page;
- allow us to know how many visitors we have on the various pages and, based on this information, to improve our website from time to time.
3. Usage data
Usage data may be collected automatically when you use La Récup'. This includes information such as your device's IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you use La Récup' from a mobile device, we may automatically collect certain other information, including the type of mobile device, its unique identifier and its operating system.
We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you use La Récup'.
4. Use of personal data
We do not share the personal information you provide to La Récup' with any third party and we do not sell your data to anyone. The only exceptions to this rule would be as detailed in clause 8 below.
The information we collect is used only to customize or improve the services we offer based on your needs, such as targeting searches, saving your favourite ads, making it easy for you to edit your ads, etc.
5. Public access to data
Some information is published on the site when you use it. For example, visitors can see your first name, the date of your registration, your photo (if you have uploaded one) and the advertisements you have posted.
Since this information is public, it is important to be careful about giving out your personal information.
It is also important to be careful when giving personal information to an advertiser or responder. La Récup' has no control over the use of this information by that individual.
6. Deletion of personal data
You can delete your personal data held on La Récup' by contacting us. If you ask for your account to be deleted, your account information and published ads will be deactivated (they will only be visible to the administrators). They will be archived for 1 year and deleted after this period. Your archived data will not be used. If you want your account to be deleted, please contact us.
7. Changes to your personal data
You can change your personal information at any time. To do so, simply modify your profile.
8. Transfer of personal data to third parties
La Récup' may need to disclose your personal information in the following situations:
- You agree to share your information;
- In the event of a legal requirement, official request or administrative investigation by the appropriate authorities;
- Your conduct violates our Terms and Conditions or you have wronged a member of La Récup' in a transaction.
9. Links to other websites
La Récup' may contain links to other websites which are not under our control. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to check the privacy policy of each site you visit.
We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party site or service.
10. Collection of information by other parties
Some businesses specialise in collecting email addresses in order to send out mass advertising emails (usually pornographic).
We have no connection with these organisations and we do not give or sell any information to them..
These businesses have programs that scan the web for email addresses. Therefore, we advise you never to put email addresses outside the fields expressly intended to receive them.

These data protection provisions may be amended or supplemented at any time. This document was last amended on 12.02.2021.
